Brinkley Heights Urban Academy
is a private Christian School for at-risk inner-city children. BHUA is an interventionist type of school with an emphasis on early intervention through early childhood education. BHUA’s focus is on educating the “whole” student in a nurturing safe environment where academic, social, and spiritual growth is pursued with fervor. As a member of the National Association of Street Schools, BHUA is a part of a national network of schools that provide personalized education, a moral code and tools for self-sufficiency. BHUA is also a member of the Tennessee Association of Christian Schools and the American Association of Christian Schools. BHUA is accredited by The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and The Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA).
